Hoopla Marketing & PR was named Agency of Record for the Philadelphia Home Show in July of 2011. The region’s premier building, design and landscaping event was held over a nine-day period in January at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The spectacular affair, highlighting the latest trends in remodeling, decorating and gardening, featured more guest stars, products, services and attractions than ever before.
It was Hoopla’s charge to create and implement a comprehensive public relations plan including strategy, critical path and media list as well as to be present on-site throughout the show’s duration. Hoopla employed a combination of print, television, radio and online to make it a worthwhile event for attendees, guest speakers and exhibitors alike.
Hoopla utilized press releases, media alerts, creative media kits and personal connections with specific outlets to garner coverage from print, television, radio and online media. The company targeted food-specific outlets to promote the locally-catered theme nights, and environmental-minded media to publicize green products and seminars. Hoopla also created a buzz surrounding opening-day activities and special family-friendly events that took place on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
In true Hoopla fashion, the staff completely dedicated itself to the Home Show throughout its nine day duration, handling talent and media on-site, managing its social media content, and lending a hand wherever needed. Hoopla reaped over 28 million media impressions, and received accolades from Marketplace Events, the Home Show’s parent company.
