Since 2004, New Balance of Philadelphia and South Jersey has provided unparalleled fit guidance and expertise, exemplary customer service, and the area’s most extensive selections of New Balance, Dunham and Aravon products.
The five stores in the Philadelphia area are independently owned and operated under license of New Balance Athletic Shoes, Inc. Their mission is to give each and every customer the highest level of technical knowledge and the best customer service experience. The stores are also very active in the community, sponsoring charitable events, as well as local races and even individual runners.
With that community spirit in mind, the stores hired Hoopla to create and manage their social media sites. Tasked with combining five local Facebook sites that were initially created for each individual store, the objective was to stream-line communication, as well as write and implement a “Social Media Policy” for their staff through-out all five stores. The main goal of the new social media strategy was to create a central “hub” for New Balance customers in the area as a place to find out the latest on deals, products, work-out tips, local races, and community events.
Commissioned in April, Hoopla was tasked with the mission to increase the fan base of the newly created page, facebook.com/newbalancephillysj to 500 fans by June 30th. Through various promotions, contests, and a Facebook ad campaign, the page has now reached almost 600 “likes” and continues to grow. Hoopla continues to manage the page, creating interesting, timely, fun, interactive, thoughtful content; as well as managing various marketing campaigns through-out the year.
